It’s really just a terrific place, gives actual meaning to the word “resort”. The backdrop against the mountains is gorgeous, there’s no highways around so it’s quiet, the set back from the road is far so it’s private. Great amenities all around, and it’s obvious great attention to detail was put into place given how there’s landscaping all around, creeks next to campgrounds, plants in strategic places - has the hallmark of landscape architecture. Bathhouse is spa like and spotless. Staff is incredibly friendly and looks like they love their jobs. Very happy with my stay here, and there’s just so much to do nearby - it’s very well situated within minutes of the Blue Ridge Parkway.

I just wanted to say thank you for having such a beautiful place! This was our first time staying at your campground and overall our fifth time camping in our travel trailer since purchasing it last September. It was so nice seeing children running round, being kids. It was special to have so many fellow dog owners and meeting them as they walked by. The bathrooms were sparkling clean, the grounds beautifully landscaped, the people friendly, and my doggie has tagged you and a few of the food trucks on her Instagram page. We had a great time!

Thank you for being such wonderful hosts. We will be back most definitely!

Good Morning -
I just wanted to let you know our thoughts about our recent 3 night stay at MRFC. My wife and I just retired this year, and this was our last trip of the season. We visited approximately 25 RV parks this season - and we found MRFC to be the absolute nicest facility of the summer. As we entered the one lane road into the campground - with a rock wall on one side and a mountain river on the other - we wondered what we might be getting into. We were just thrilled when it lead to the most picturesque park we’ve seen! Spectacular views of the mountains - pristine facilities - and really nice touches all around the park. It’s clear the owners have pride in keeping this park so beautiful. We will go out of our way to stay here again in the future. Thanks!

We are first time RVers and your campground was our 2nd stop. While we don’t have history for comparison, it’s clear that you take great care to provide first class facilities. The hookups were pristine, the grounds kept well and perhaps most surprisingly, your restrooms are some of the cleanest and nicest I’ve seen in 68 years of using such facilities in restaurants, hotels, etc.

I’m sure you’re very proud of your campsite and rest assured that we will mention Mountain River Family Campground to all RVers who we meet in the years to come.

Thanks for providing top notch service!

We wanted you to know we were delighted at our stay with you. This was an AAA+ stay for us. No negatives. We loved that trout season just started, beautiful blue skies, except temp was pretty low on Friday night, fishing on the pond, strolls around the grounds, Mountain View’s, well kept and maintained, fun hammocks, corn hole and sweet seating around the pond, fire pits and new picnic tables. You are doing everything right. We will be back. We have recommended this little piece of heaven to our group, Renegade Owners on fb! Just FYI! Again, thank you for a much needed respite!
